Nevins Software, Inc. was founded in 1999 to help companies improve business processes through the
effective use of technology. Our consultants develop custom software solutions to everyday business
challenges.
We have published numerous technical publications in the areas of computer simulation
and enterprise database systems and we frequently speak at technology events to communicate the benefits of
technology.
CEO Profile
Mike Nevins is the President and CEO of Nevins Software, Inc.
While leading Nevins Software, he has directed major software development efforts, including SPACESIM,
a computer simulation project for NASA Kennedy Space Center; and the Ditto Spyder, a web project for the visual
search engine company Ditto.
Prior to founding Nevins Software, he was a senior research scientist and program
manager for Argonne National Laboratory for 12 years in the Decision and Information Sciences Division.
He has conducted research for the Military Traffic Management Command Transportation Engineering Agency,
the U.S. Special Operations Command, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Air Force Logistics
Command, and the U.S. Transportation Command.
Mike received a M.S. in Computer Science from DePaul University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Elmhurst
College. His research experiences and interests include modeling and simulation, enterprise-level
information systems, and artificial intelligence. He has published more than 17 peer-reviewed technical
journal articles and has been an invited speaker at simulation conferences worldwide, as well as a
presenter at the Pentagon and the U.S. Congress.
